Facts and History

The name of the University, University for the Development of the National Races of the Union, encompasses its main aim- to bring about the development of the national races of the Union. And development and prosperity of the nation depends chiefly on its national unity. This belief leads to the adoption of the University’s Motto “ Unity is Strength”.

A. Previous Course Programmes

The following courses are offered previously

1. Certificate in Teacher Education Course (three academic years)
2. Special Primary Assistant Teachership Training Course (one academic year, occasional programme)
3. Junior Assistant Teachership Training Course (one academic year)
4. Diploma in Teacher Education Course (one academic year)
5. Bachelor of Education Degree (Bridge) Course (two academic year)
6. Bachelor of Education Degree Course (four academic years)
7. Postgraduate Bachelor of Education Degree Course (one academic year)
8. Master of Philosophy (Education Degree) Course (one academic year)
9. Master of Education Qualifying Course (one academic year)
10. Master of Education Degree Course ( two academic year)

From 1964 to 2012, the UDNR turned out 12,493 graduates representing 92 ethnic minorities.
